Description: This training will provide functional information on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and discusses the environmental supports, evidence-based instructional strageties, and effective interventions to use with students with ASD. The content covered will be most applicable for school personnel working with moderate-severe students on the spectrum. Outcomes: Participants will: 1. Understand the core deficits related to the disorder. 2. Use a developmental perspective to identify student's learning profiles. 3. Become aware of the recommended environmental supports and evidence-based strategies for students with ASD. 4. Become aware of the various ABA interventions and state resources for students with ASD.
