DESCRIPTION:The English Language Arts Advisory is an engaged group of professional leaders in literacy within San Diego County. &nbsp\;The Advisory strives to increase the level of communication and collaboration between all 42 school districts within the county\, professional and community organizations\, and partners within higher education. &nbsp\;The ELA Advisory hopes to share and grow dialogue around the latest local\, state and national research and policy developments that affect the teaching and learning of English language arts to help each partner better serve and inform their local communities.  The Advisory holds four face-to-face meetings a year at the central San Diego County of Education headquarters which are simultaneously video-conferenced with the North County Regional Education Center. &nbsp\;The County Office also sends out a periodic electronic newsletter through a listserv as well as a maintained webpage at http://www.sdcoe.net/lret2/la/?loc=home. &nbsp\;
