The Greater San Diego Council for Social Studies is the local affiliate to the leading statewide organization--the California Council for the Social Studies. Both organizations advocate for the teaching and learning of social studies in the schools, promote life-long learning, sponsor and provide teacher professional development opportunities and student programs. The GSDCSS currently sponsors the following programs: San Diego County History Day Teaching American History Conference As well as other collegial opportunities offered throughout the year.  We are always looking to increase our membership base to ensure that ALL teachers of history-social science have access to opportunities, information, and resources. The San Diego County Office of Education invites you to join us as we view, learn, and evaluate proposed solutions for the new state-of-the-art enterprise business system. CGI:  May 14 - 17, 2012 Tyler Technologies:  May 21 - 24, 2012 CherryRoad Technologies: June 4 - 7, 2012 Registration Instructions The SDCOE External sessions will be first presented on Mondays & Tuesdays.  These sessions will be repeated on Wednesdays & Thursdays. These sessions can accommodate up to 20 participants each. To objectively evaluate each demonstration, each participant is required to evaluate the two vendor demonstrations of the same business section they attended. For example, if you evaluate the HR sessions for Vendor A, you must evaluate the HR sessions for Vendor B and Vendor C for an objective evaluation. We encourage attendees to carpool.  Cafe vendor will be onsite to sell lunch. Your participation will contribute to the success of the business modernization and help support students throughout San Diego by ensuring that you have the right tools to effectively meet their schools' needs.

If your first choice for a session is full, you will be placed in the 2nd session.   The Integrated Session can hold up to 50 participants and is presented three times in one week. To objectively evaluate each demonstration, each participant is required to evaluate each vendor demonstrations of the same business section they attended. For example, if you evaluate the HR sessions for Vendor A, you must evaluate the HR sessions for Vendor B and Vendor C for an objective evaluation.
