Participants will gain a better understanding of clinical mental health assessment/diagnoses and how best to support individualized educational program (IEP) teams in addressing the educational implications of such diagnoses.

Developing assessment and service protocols that are both legally sound and designed to maximize effective student planning.
Understanding DSM-IV (V) axis diagnoses
Operationally defining clinical diagnoses within the assessment process to support educational planning
Identifying the risk factors that may require collaboration with community-based mental health assessment and service providers
